When reporting a problem, it helps to include:
- Your iOS version (Settings › General › About) and iPhone/iPad model;
- The ReSnapt version (Settings › About inside the App);
- A short description of what you expected and what happened instead;
- A screenshot if it’s visual.
Common questions
How do I sign in?
Open the App. You can create an account with email and password, or tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google. If you forget your password, use the “Forgot password” link on the sign-in screen; we’ll email you a reset link.
How do I scan a receipt?
Tap the + button on the home screen, then choose Camera to capture a new photo or Photo Library to pick an existing one. ReSnapt will extract the merchant, date, total, and line items. Review the extracted data and tap Save. You can edit anything that’s wrong before saving.
Is the OCR always correct?
No OCR is 100% accurate. Always review the extracted fields before relying on them. If something is wrong you can tap any field to correct it, and the change is saved locally and synced to your account.
Why does ReSnapt need camera and photo-library access?
The camera is required to photograph physical receipts. Photo library access lets you attach receipts you already have as images. Both are only accessed when you explicitly tap the camera or photo button — ReSnapt never scans your library in the background.
Can I use ReSnapt without an internet connection?
Yes. The App is offline-first: you can scan, edit, and categorize receipts without connectivity. Writes are queued and sync when you’re back online. Receipt OCR uses on-device models where available; when it falls back to the cloud, that specific action requires a connection.
How do I import CSV or a ReSnapt ZIP backup?
Go to Settings › Import, choose the file, and the App will auto-detect columns and categories. Your existing data is not overwritten — imported rows are added alongside it.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings › Export and pick CSV or ZIP. CSV gives you a spreadsheet-friendly list of expenses; ZIP includes everything, receipt images and all.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings › Delete Account and confirm. This is irreversible and deletes:
- Your account sign-in credentials;
- Every expense, category, and line item you’ve saved;
- Every receipt image you’ve uploaded;
- All local data on this device.

Does the home-screen widget work?
Yes. Long-press your home screen, tap +, search for ReSnapt, and add the Monthly Spending widget. It updates whenever you sync.
I can’t sign in with Apple / Google.
Make sure your device has internet access and your system’s date and time are set correctly. If the issue persists, email us with your iOS version and the approximate time you tried to sign in.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored in your own account on our backend provider (Supabase). See the Privacy Policy for details.
